| A sneek preview |
This is a sneek preview of Gotham Knight's new Batman fan fiction set in the Burton-verse.
From chapter 1
After all that had happened, Harvey couldn’t bare to see his father living like an animal. Richard only spent it on booze at ‘the Cauldron.’ He’d drink…and drink until he could escape the reality…that he had damaged his son in a way no stranger could have…he’d go to the place where Richard Dent had made his boy strong and Harvey had failed him. For a man broken by the years behind him, this was never truer than on Carnie Night.
Big Bad Harvey was a killer now with half his face missing. What a friggin’ disappointment. At the bar the guys stopped jabbing Richie. Every time a news report interrupted a program detailing the rampage of ‘Two-Face,’ the bar would get louder by instinct, trying to drown it out so Richie couldn’t hear what a monster his son had become. He knew it and he knew why. Over and over he’d hear his late wife’s sobering voice in his head. Damn you, Richard! What did you do to Harvey?! Memories didn’t leave you like the people did. Years later the voices still come, especially when you try to sleep. You pull the pillow (or scraps of newspaper) over your head and wish the mountains could cover you…the embarrassment…the shame.
Coming soon..
[raleagh - having read a large chunk of chapter 1 I have to say this is going to be a great read!]
